Lady Gaga Named Most Charitable Celeb of 2010

Lady Gaga took the number one spot on a new list of the most charitable stars of the year. In 2010, Gaga donated $500,000 to Haiti earthquake relief, called for the repeal of the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (D.A.D.T.) policy and helped raise millions to fight HIV/AIDS worldwide.

The list was compiled by Do Something, a leading not-for-profit organization that supports young people who are interested in volunteering and fund-raising. Gaga earned the number one spot, as she supported gay rights and call for the repeal of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” law, her MAC Viva Glam campaign in raising money for HIV/AIDS prevention awareness.

The second and third spots were followed by Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift and nine and ten for Oprah Winfrey and Justin Bieber.
