Gaga Moments #1: “Bad Romance” Goes Number One

In January 2010, Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” reached #1 on Billboard‘s Pop Songs radio airplay list, making Gaga the first artist in the chart’s 17-year history to send her first five singles to the top spot.

Just six months ago, ‘Bad Romance’ was nothing but a dream, a recurring melody, a lyric hidden on a napkin on my tour bus. Now, it’s my fifth number one record and a reminder to fans to always follow their dreams.

“Bad Romance” has sold over four million copies in the U.S. alone and became one of the most successful songs in digital history.
