Lady Gaga’s single “Alejandro” tops the two million mark in paid downloads in the U.S., becoming the singer’s seventh consecutive song to reach the milestone. Gaga is the only artist in digital history to amass seven 2-million sellers as a lead act.
The song has sold 2.63 million digital downloads in the United States as of February 2019, making Gaga the only artist in digital history to amass seven consecutive two million sellers as a lead act. The track was certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in October 2017.
'Alejandro' reached the top five in Austria, the Ultratop charts of Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia), Czech Republic, France, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden, Ireland, and Switzerland, while topping the charts in Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, and Finland.
