Lady Gaga opened the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards with a jaw-dropping performance live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Gaga wowed the audience as she made a speech dressed as her alter-ego Jo Calderone and later brought Brian May of Queen on stage to perform their latest smash single "Yoü and I" for the first time together.

At the show, Gaga's up for four moonmen, including Best Female Video and Best Video With Message for "Born This Way" as well as Best Art Direction and Best Choreography for "Judas."
