On Thursday night, Gaga sat down for an intimate chat with MTV’s Sway in Times Square where she answered a speed round of fan questions, discussed her 2011 VMA plans and inspiration behind “Yoü and I” and recalled visiting TRL as a kid, among many other things.
Lady Gaga will open the this year’s MTV Video Music Awards with a live performance in Los Angeles. The singer shared the big news on Thursday night during her live interview with MTV News, right after the television premiere of her latest music video for “Yoü and I.”
“It means the world to me,” Gaga said of opening the ceremony. “I just feel really blessed every day. I have the most amazing fans.” While she wouldn’t reveal details about her performance, she promised: “You will not be disappointed.”
