Lady Gaga stole the show at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night when showed up dressed as her male alter ego called Jo Calderone. Gaga wowed the viewers by bringing Queen's Brian May on stage for her "Oscar-worthy" (Billboard) performance of "Yoü and I" and also took home two moonmen for Best Video With a Message and Best Female Video.

This year's award ceremony, held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, scored the biggest audience in MTV's history with a record-breaking 12.4 million total viewers worldwide.
