International pop queen Lady Gaga touched down at the IGI airport late that evening (October 27th, 2011), amid fairylights and firecrackers for a coincidental welcome treat.
The 25 year-old American star entered the Taj Mahal Hotel through an alternate entry at 8:40pm amid strict security. She was accompanied by a large entourage, including private security. “She was wearing a violet skirt with a formal top, jacket and gloves. Her people escorted her quickly to prevent any mobbing,” says a witness.
Gaga is staying at the grand presidential suite, where various heads of states have stayed before. The 3500 sq feet suite comprises a master bedroom, a master bathroom, a vanity room, a private pantry, a library, a private workout area, a living room, a dining room and a powder room.
The singer, who is in Delhi for four days, will address a press conference today, and interact with the winners of the ‘Meet Lady Gaga’ contest, brought to you by HT City and entertainment portal Desi Hits.
