The Costa Rican Dj Melissa O was selected by producer RPMTV to open the Lady Gaga concert offered in the country on Saturday 3. The Dj was notified this morning, after Lady Gaga's office allowed the concert presentation along with special guest, the British band "The Darkness" and the New Yorker Dj Lady Starlight.
Juan Carlos Pena, spokesman for the production company of the show on their soil, confirmed the news to the Costa Rican newspaper La Nacion after 11 a. m. The Dj was notified this morning, the spokesman added. Peña said the office of Lady Gaga approved and endorsed the RPMTV suggestion , to weigh the claims which the guarantee as a national artist of weight.
Melissa O began her career 10 years ago in Montreal, Canada and, since then, has played in destinations like Morocco, Israel and Europe, among others.
The selection of this Dj as opening act does not meet the U.S. demand that the Unión Musical RPMTV Costarricense made against it, the union says, will not include a national telonero megaespectáculo of the world star. The spokesman said the company producer and Dj had referred to two months, but had to wait the approval of the Gaga's office.
