As Lady Gaga's third studio album, ARTPOP, continues to struggle to generate the sales of her previous albums, ET Canada discovers the pop star's interpretation of its success. Although the "Applause" singer's music is enjoyed around the world, the sales for ARTPOP since its November 6 release have fallen well short of her prior album Born This Way.
Success is judged in how many people's lives are touched by something, said Gaga, who was in Toronto for an intimate meet-and-greet. So, I won't really know for a while, actually. ... I'll know about two to three years from now what 'ARTPOP' means. I actually don't draw any line, she said of her family and personal lives. ...Some people call me Stefani 'cause I grew up knowing them as that and other people call me Gaga, but...there's really no distinction for me.
I think that because I've always been different, there's maybe been an assumption that I'm doing things to be shocking or to get attention, but it's just the way I am.
