Lady Gaga has officially announce that the Japanese pop and heavy metal girl group BABYMETAL will be the new extra support act for some dates at the North American leg of her current artRAVE: the ARTPOP ball tour.
Formed in 2010 by Suzaka Nakamoto (SU-METAL), Moa Kikuchi (MOAMETAL) and Yui Mizuno (YIUMETAL), the 3-girl group is based on the theme of "Kawaii Metal", mixing the genres of J-Pop and Heavy Metal. BABYMETAL's first album, self-titled BABYMETAL, was released in February 2014, achieving the #1 spot on the iTunes Heavy Metal chart in the US, UK and Canada.
