Lady Gaga's 2014 Harper's Bazaar cover has been nominated for an American  Society of Magazine Editor Award (ASME) in the category for 'Best Cover in Fashion Beauty'. The Best Cover Contest honors magazines published between January 2014 and December 2014. The contest includes two sets of awards: the ASME Best Cover Awards and the ASME Readers' Choice Awards. Editors, art directors and photography editors choose the winners of the ASME Best Cover Awards, including the Cover of the Year. Facebook users choose the winners of the ASME Readers' Choice Awards, including the Most Liked Cover.

Magazines compete in 10 categories. Three Best Cover Award finalists and three Readers' Choice Award finalists receive certificates of recognition in each category. The two winners in each category receive Best Cover Awards or Readers' Choice Awards. The members of ASME choose the Cover of the Year. Last year more than 2 million uniques helped choose the Most Liked Cover. The winners of the ASME Best Cover Contest will be honored at the ASME Annual Meeting on May 7, 2015.
