The world is celebrating the diversity and the gay pride and Billboard has made a list of the 50 Top Gay Pride Anthems to Celebrate the whole month! Lady Gaga's iconic song "Born This Way" made the cut on the list as the second gay anthem just behind Diana Ross' 1980 "I'm Coming Out". What makes a song a gay anthem? We actually don't know the exact answer and, while it's impossible to pinpoint exactly what makes a song "gay," we imagine that should be full of glamour, self-acceptance messages, catchy beats and... divas.!
Back in 2011, Gaga told Billboard that she wanted to create a "freedom record" that didn’t beat around the bush: "I want to write my this-is-who-the-fuck-I-am anthem, but I don't want it to be hidden in poetic wizardry and metaphors.” Fans responded positively, as the song debuted at No.1 on the Hot 100.
We want you to celebrate not only your sexual orientation, whether you are heterosexual, transexual, or lesbian. Beyond that, we have to celebrate life by itself, the enthusiasm, creativity, rebelious spirit, kindness and everything that influence you to be a good person with yourself and the ones around you because: WE WERE BORN THIS WAY!
