Lady Gaga Superfan Tells Billboard What Lady Gaga Means to Him

Lady Gaga Superfan on What Lady Gaga Means to Him

Our recently added admin and collaborator Marcelo Bermúdez has been interviewed by the associate producer content of Billboard's website Shira Karsen about what Lady Gaga means to him, the new album Joanne and more. Read the interview below.

It's been almost a week since Lady Gaga dropped her fifth studio album, the country-influenced Joanne, and thanks to its Southern twang and acoustic tone, the newest release has received both high critical praise and remarks bugging Little Monsters everywhere.

SK: How do you feel about 'Joanne'?

MB: I feel absolutely happy and excited. It's been 3 years since we heard new music and this is literally music to my ears. What I like about Gaga is that she's a chameleon and every album she writes is unique and therefore, the experiences that each era brings us are amazing too. 'Joanne' was writen with her heart and soul because, I think she want to show us a side that has not been shown and what really is sacred for her: her family, her memories and the love she feels for her late aunt.

SK: Do you think 'Joanne' will be successful?

MB: Well... (laughs) just look the charts. The album was #1 on iTunes in more than 60 countries, that's a good sign. I wish all the best for this album you know, but that's not the main point. Even though, we love to see it positioned as number one on every chart worldwide, the main point or goal for us as fans (should be the same for everybody) is to enjoy her work, every melodie, every word.

SK: A lot of people are quite critical of the album, Could you tell me why you as Little Monster representative, are not?

MB: To be honest with you, I'm not a musical judge and I have no idea of how an album is ranked or qualified. However, I think that those who are quite critical of Joanne are only focused on how the album sounds commercially speaking.
As Gaga has said many times before, she's not a puppet or just a pop star and she will not be put inside a box to be manipulated by others on how her music should sound. She's aunthentic she's a chameleon, and every album she writes is unique and at the end of the daya review doesn't represent the album. It's just someone's opinion.

Critical acclaim aside, Joanne is set to debut at No.1 on Billboard's 200, making it her fourth consecutive studio album to do so. Buy the album at online platforms or at your locar record store now!
