Lady Gaga performed for the fist time ever her summer hit 'The Cure' at the 2017 American Music Awards live from her Joanne World Tour at Capitol One Arena in Washington, DC. This was Gaga's first televised performance of the song since it's official debut back on April 16th at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California.
Gaga slayed the performace wearing an stunning outfit designed by her sister Natali in collaboration with Zaldy, a renowned fashion designer and Emmy Award nominated costume designer who has designed stage looks for Michael Jackson, Britney Spears and more.
'The Cure' was written after Gaga's performance at the Super Bowl LI halftime show by Gaga herself, longtime collaborator DJ White Shadow as well as Lukas Nelson, Mark Nilan, Nick Monson and produced by Detroit City. While performing at Coachella, Gaga told the crowd: "I've been so excited for this next part of the show because I've been trying to keep it a secret for so long. I've been in the studio and I'd like to debut a brand new song, 'The Cure.'"
