Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance at the 2018 MTV Music & Video Awards in Los Angeles on June 16th, 2018 to receive 'Best Music Documentary' award for her Netflix documentary 'Gaga: Five Foot Two' directed by Chris Mukarbel. Gaga appeared in the stage wearing a custom Alexander McQueen dress as she accepted the award and present the nominees for Best Movie.

"Thank you. I love you little monsters so much and happy Pride month," Gaga told the audience, adding: "I just have one problem. I recently found out I’m actually five foot three and three quarters. I'm so so sorry. But thank you so much."
