More than 100 people from the music industry, public figures, actors, activists, entertainers and more, took part in Lady Gaga's 'One World: Together At Home,' an online special event organized alongside Global Citizen and the World Health Organization to honor the healthcare personnel worldwide for their untiringly effort fighting against global pandemic COVID-19.
The event was streamed online throughout different platforms including Facebook, Periscope, YouTube and televised simultaneously in the U.S. on ABC, NBC, CBS, as well as various TV networks that transmitted it for Canada, Central and South America as well as in Europe.
Gaga kicked off the show by giving a brief thankful message to all people for coming together during this pandemic: "This is really a true love letter to all of you all over the world, and I hope a reminder of the kindness that's occurring right now.'' ''This is not a fundraiser, as the money had been raised in advance of the show so, put your wallets away and sit back and enjoy the show," she added.
Gaga has so far helped officially raise $127.9 million from corporations such as Apple, IBM, Cisco, Verizon, Procter and Gamble, Johnson and Johnson that will continue accepting donations.
For the closure performance, Gaga joined Céline Dion, Andrea Bocelli, John Legend and virtuous Chinese pianist Lang Lang for a wonderful rendition of "The Prayer." Watch Gaga's performances and appearances as well as featured from Lizzo, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, Kesha, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, and more on the full special.
