After months of speculation and rumors, it has been announced that Lady Gaga is set to make a triumphant return to Rio de Janeiro with a monumental free concert at Copacabana Beach on May 3. This event, titled "Todo Mundo No Rio," marks her first performance in Brazil since 2012 and comes seven years after she had to cancel a Rock in Rio appearance due to health issues.
Gaga's upcoming performance coincides with the release of her new album, "Mayhem," scheduled for March 7, 2025. The concert, dubbed "Mayhem On The Beach," is expected to attract over a million fans and will be free to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
The "Todo Mundo No Rio" initiative aims to host large-scale entertainment events in Rio, following the success of Madonna's 2024 Copacabana concert, which drew approximately 1.6 million attendees. Mayor Eduardo Paes has expressed his commitment to bringing major international artists to the city annually, enhancing Rio's cultural landscape and boosting tourism.
Lady Gaga expressed her excitement on social media stating: "It's a great honor to be asked to sing for Rio--for my whole career the fans in Brazil have been part of the lifeblood of the little monsters. I've been dying to come perform for you for years and was heartbroken when I had to cancel years ago because I was hospitalized. Your understanding that I needed that time to heal meant the world to me. I am now coming back and I feel better than ever and am working so hard to make sure this show is one you will never forget. Get ready for MAYHEM on the beach.," she added.

The concert, which is expected to last approximately two hours and scheduled to begin at 9:30 PM (local time), will feature a custom-built stage on Copacabana Beach, designed to bring Gaga's creative vision to life. Also, It will be broadcast on Brazil’s TV Globo via free-to-air television, as well as on Pay TV. Additionally, attendees can stream the show live on Globoplay.
